THE San Luis Valley will have a free COVID Community Testing Site beginning Friday, Aug. 19.
The site is at Conour Hall on the ASU campus, and will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday through the end of December.
The test is a nasal swab PCR test, with results expected in about 48 hours. There is no charge. Everyone is encouraged to have home test kits as well, but PCR testing is more accurate than home tests and can often detect COVID earlier than a home antigen test.
