WHEN Dennis suddenly left us his death created this enormous hole in our hearts that has been filled with your generosity, your remembrances, your flowers, prayers, food, donations and your outpouring of love for him and our family.

We are sincerely blessed to have heard from so many. Each and every person who has reached out, who attended the services, who said a prayer, and who took the time out of their lives to express well wishes to me and the boys is a gift from God. We truly appreciate you and will never forget.

Many thanks to Fr. Andres Santiago who celebrated a beautiful mass, Sacred Heart Church, Mariachi San Luis, Sangre de Cristo National Heritage Area, Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc., Alamosa Citizen, Adams State University, University of Denver and the many organizations who offered sympathy and support.

Of course nothing can replace seeing Dennis, hearing his voice, seeing his smile, watching him get involved and support others the way he did. We take great comfort in knowing he communicated, worked with, and held in deep esteem so many and likewise so many for him. We felt the love and support upon his death. You embraced us and kept us close when we needed it most.

For the boys and me, it’s an adjustment and we suppose it will always be that way. Dennis was full of life, and so we shall continue to live up to his ideals, to be there for you as you were for us.

With prayer, we say thank you. In all our hearts Dennis will remain.

Love,

Sally, Jose, Juan Carlos and Ricardo
