The OptiMystics Citizens Action Network is hosting Monte Vista’s 3rd Annual Cinco de Mayo Street Festival on May 5th, in downtown Monte Vista. We’ll shut down the 100 and 200 blocks of Adams Street, plus 2nd Avenue from Adams St to the alley ways both east and west, for the day. Local craft vendors, food trucks, a beer garden and cool cars, plus local organizations will be on hand all day. Lots of exciting things are planned throughout the day including a live DJ, face painting, bounce houses, dancers, kids crafts/activities, a low rider car cruise around Home Lake Veteran’s Center, great food & drink and so much more. And we’ll wrap up the evening with live music from Moonshadow Marauders & Mariachi San Luis! Drop in and visit our local businesses along the way. Take in the unique Swoop of the Cranes art project. All the fun and excitement will start at 11AM and run until at least 8PM. See you there.
