Holiday music at Adams State
Celebrate the season with an evening of holiday music and fun starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, in Richardson Hall Auditorium. Performances will include the ASU Winds & Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Choir, Jazz Ensemble, 68 West, and student chamber ensembles. There is no cost to attend the concert. However, cash or non-perishable food donations will be accepted for the Food Bank Network of the San Luis Valley.
The ASMES Music Club will host a bake sale afterwards. For more information call 719-587-7621. Masks are required in all Adams State indoor public spaces and social distancing is recommended.

Holiday Bazaars
Sacred Heart Church in Alamosa Holiday Bazaar begins at 9 a.m. You’ll find arts and crafts, a bake sale, and a white elephant sale. The bazaar is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and continues Saturday, Dec. 4., from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 715 E 4th St, Alamosa.
Monte Vista Church of the Nazarene hosts its Holiday Bazaar from noon to 7 p.m. at the church gym, 255 Monroe St.
The Saguache Community Building is the location for the Saguache Holiday Bazaar on Saturday. Great way to start your holiday shopping.
Photos with Santa
Head over to the Green Spot in Alamosa for pictures with Santa, cocoa and apple cider. Event runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at 711 State Ave.
Del Norte Tour of Lights
Presented by the Del Norte Chamber of Commerce, take a tour of Del Norte businesses and homes as they light up the Upper Rio Grande for the holiday season. The Santa-guided tour begins at 6 p.m. Cars line up on French Street. Fireworks are scheduled for 7 p.m. Enjoy the show.
Alamosa Celebration of Lights
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. at Alamosa City Hall with the Adams State Brass Quartet and Clarinet Duo. At 6:30 p.m. will be the Illumination of City Hall followed by a Walk to Santa. Dress warm and holiday attire is encouraged.
Adams State Theatre holiday variety show
It is Christmastime and the Adams State University Theatre is excited to welcome audiences back for the in-person live holiday performance, Christmastime! Christmastime! The holiday variety show opens Dec. 3. Tickets are now on sale. Directed by George McConnell, Ph.D., assistant professor of theater, Christmastime! Christmastime! includes dancing, singing, and comedy skits. Fast-paced and fun, the performance audiences are invited to sing along during the Christmas classics. The run of Christmastime! Christmastime! is one hour and 20 minutes with no intermission, and is appropriate for all ages. The show opens at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 and continues December 10 and December 11. A matinee is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12. The Adams State Theatre Box Office is open from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and tickets can be reserved by calling 719-587-8499. Adelante San Luis is hosting its Christmas Tree Lighting Saturday. Festivities begin at 3 p.m. with ornament decorating for kids at the Town Hall/Picadilly Parking Lot. The Christmas Tree Lighting will be at 5 p.m.
Monte Vista’s Christmas Celebration
Monte Vista will have its annual tree lighting and caroling at Fullwinder Park on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 5:15 p.m. Then at 6 p.m. it’s the Monte Vista Holiday Parade down Adams Street.

Christmas at the Depot in Chama, NM
The Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad (C&TSRR) welcomes an all-new winter event: Christmas at the Depot. This free, holiday-themed gathering takes place from 2-5 p.m. and offers guests the opportunity to visit and take photos with Santa, and enjoy festive treats and holiday lights. At dusk, a colorful lantern launch will illuminate the night sky, while the Chama tree lighting ceremony highlights ornaments hand-made by local school children. Chama will be festively decorated by local businesses to encourage visitors to shop, dine and enjoy a winter getaway to Chama.
