La Puente extends community invitation for Thanksgiving

IN celebration of everything La Puente has to be thankful for, the organization invites all the members of the community to share in the annual Community Thanksgiving Meal. 

The meal will begin at 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, at the La Puente Shelter, 913 State Ave.

This year La Puente is pleased to announce that the meal will be in-person with seating outside. Due to safety precautions, only current shelter guests will be served inside; however, there will be games, warming pits and festive cheer for those eating outside. 

Dozens of community volunteers are helping set up and prepare meals for more than 120 people.

Thanksgiving is a time meant to be spent together so La Puente welcomes all to participate in this community event.
