La Puente remembers lost community members

LA Puente’s annual winter vigil brought out around 20 people who remembered people in the San Luis Valley community who passed away while experiencing homelessness. The vigil was held Jan. 19.

Amanda Pearson, La Puente’s interim executive director, spoke on the importance of remembering the influence our folks had in our community. This was followed by the lighting of candles and a special moment in memory where members of the audience were able to share memories after the names were read.
