Grizzlies’ big weekend
The weekend belonged to Adams State student-athletes in a big way. Adams State captured three individual NCAA DII wrestling titles on Saturday night in St. Louis, and track star Brianna Robles won the NCAA II Indoor 5,000-meter title in Kansas. You have to go back to 1982 to find the last time three Adams State wrestlers won national titles on the same night. Adams State head wrestling coach Jason Ramstetter was named the NWCA Division II National Tournament Coach of the Year. Read more about the Grizzlies weekend here.

SLV Regional Airport has options
SkyWest pulled out, and Boutique Air and Denver Air Connection want in. The U.S. Department of Transportation had a request for proposals for Essential Air Service at Alamosa Regional Airport underway when SkyWest announced it was discontinuing service. Alamosa County Attorney Jason Kelly said Boutique Air and Denver Air Connection met a March 10 deadline for proposals. Read more

Alamosa looks to double fines
for speeding on Main Street
Alamosa is intent on making its downtown friendly to pedestrians and will take another step along those lines when it proposes an ordinance that doubles the fine for speeding. The city council will take up the issue at its meeting Wednesday evening. You can find the full city council meeting agenda here. The city council will also hold a public hearing on a recall effort against 12th Judicial District Attorney Alonzo Payne.
