NWS issues fire weather watch for most of SLV
THE National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds and low relative humidity for the San Luis Valley. The watch goes into effect Saturday, April 1, at 11:00 a.m. and will last until 8:00 p.m.
Winds will primarily be from the Southwest with average speeds of 15 to 25 miles per hour. Gusts are expected to be upward of 40 miles per hour.
Humidity could be as low as 13 percent.
According to the NWS, a Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur.
