RG BANK elects Lounsbury chair of the Board of Directors
THE RG BANK Board of Directors has elected Mark Lounsbury chair of the board. The move was effective immediately after a board vote on Dec. 28.
Lounsbury was born and raised in Monte Vista and has spent most of his life in the community. Since 2000, he has served as the general manager of Grower Shipper Potato Company – one of the largest potato shippers in the San Luis Valley. Grower Shipper has evolved into one of the leaders in technology, using electronic sorting and most recently adding robots to its production line, allowing the company to remain at the forefront of an incredibly competitive industry.
“I would like to thank each board member for everything they have done and will continue to do for RG BANK,” said Lounsbury. “I am very honored and thankful to have been charged with the position of chair and the responsibility that comes with it.”
Lounsbury attended University of Northern Colorado and Adams State University. He served on the Stampede Committee for 16 years; the Monte Vista Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years; and was a board member for the Colorado State Fair Foundation. Lounsbury is married to Gigi Dennis-Lounsbury and they reside just outside of Monte Vista.
Lounsbury has been on the RG BANK Board of Directors since 2017.
Serving with Lounsbury on the RG BANK Board of Directors are James “Jim” Clare, vice chair, serving since 2008; Charles “Chuck” Bryant, Jr., director, serving since 1990; Eric Kimberling, director, serving since 2018; Shon R. Davis, director, serving since 2019; and Danielle Anderson, director, serving since 2022.
