MONTE VISTA
IF you’re Stephanie Ruybal and the City of Monte Vista, you’re doing cartwheels this morning. The spanking new Ski-Hi Regional Events Center was put to full use for the first time and it opened to rave reviews.
The new complex, built by Alcon Construction, had plenty of room for 70-plus vendors who garnished the 3-day Southern Rocky Mountain Ag Conference. The vendors set up in the spacious main

display area in the west end of the 54,473-square-foot building, while conference rooms that seat hundreds took care of the various ag sessions on the east side of the building.
Ruybal is Monte Vista’s point of contact for using the Ski-Hi Regional Events Center. It’ll next host the Crane Festival Craft Fair scheduled for March 11-13. The 2022 Ski-Hi Stampede also has a date for July 21-24.
