Behind the stunning morning photographs
the Valley woke up to on Monday
Mike Henderson woke up early Monday, looked outside and said to himself, ‘I need to go take a photo of this.’
Henderson’s stunning photographs of the 7 a.m. San Luis Valley skies taken from Blanca Vista Park broke the internet. “Perhaps the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen this morning,” said one Instagram user after the photographs were posted by The Alamosa Citizen on its social media platforms.
“It was so beautiful being out there, I almost cried,” said the photographer. Henderson is a web developer and outdoor enthusiast who frequently finds stunning imagery of the San Luis Valley. Fellow photographer Dennis Schoenfelder was also present to capture the beauty. Schoenfelder appears in one of the photographs.
