Volunteers sought for Rio Frio Luminaria on Jan. 27

THE San Juan Nordic Club needs volunteers to assist with Friday’s Rio Frio Luminaria at Blanca Vista Park. SJNC will once again help the City of Alamosa with the Rio Frio weekend by putting on a luminaria ski.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Blanca Vista Pond across from Cattails Golf Course. 

Volunteers are needed to:

Fill bags with sand and set out the luminarias, start fire
Ski around to collect the luminarias and clean up from 8-8:30 p.m.

The club also is looking for good sleds to pull around the luminarias.
