It starts at 5 o’clock at Woody’s Q Shack with The MG Sessions featuring Mark Eaton and Gabe Swanson providing the jams. Then it’s on to Mammoth Spud Cafe, Milagros Coffee Shop, Altitude Appliances, Spare Keg Brewerks and finally SLV Brewing Co with a different musical act at each business.

You could call it a roaming mini-music festival. Alamosa Live Music Association and Visit Alamosa call it Roaming Rhythms and it’s set for this Friday, Sept. 6.

“It’s a variety of venues, a variety of artists and genres, and obviously a variety of the audience which is something that ALMA really pushes for all the time, is the diversity and community connection culture,” said Rocio De Lira. She, along with Matt Wellman, joined The Valley Pod to talk about the Alamosa Live Music Association’s takeover of the monthly First Fridays Celebration.

The episode is here and outlines a Friday evening like no other for the First Fridays in September celebration.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Alamosa Live Music Association to make downtown Alamosa a canvas for artistic expression and create a memorable experience for everyone during First Fridays,” said Elizabeth Sumner, director of destination development with Visit Alamosa.
