RG BANK is promoting Valerie Abeyta to assistant vice president of deposit operations. Abeyta has been with RG BANK since 2016 and brings more than 20 years of banking experience to her new role.
“Valerie has been exceptional in leading our deposit operations,” said Shon Davis, president of RG BANK. “She has tremendous work ethic and leadership. Her dedication to helping customers are big keys to RG continuing to evolve for our customers and the communities we serve.”
Abeyta began her banking career as a teller and quickly advanced to a supervisory position. Over the last several years, she has successfully managed deposit operations across RG BANK’s multiple locations and recently expanded her responsibilities to include oversight of the bank’s e-banking products and services.
“Along the way, I discovered my passion for not only helping customers, but also mentoring new employees,” Abeyta said. “My customers are the reason I love what I do. The relationships I’ve built and the trust our communities place in RG BANK inspire me every day.”
A lifelong resident of the San Luis Valley, Abeyta and her spouse, Adam, are proud to continue raising their family in the same community that shaped them. Together, they have six children and one grandchild.
