Cayden Schulz qualifies for National High School Finals Rodeo
THE 2022 National High School Finals Rodeo will take place in Gillette, WY, in July – and the Valley’s Cayden Schulz will be there.
Schulz competed in the Colorado State High School Rodeo Association State Championships over the Memorial Weekend in Craig. He held the fastest time in steer wrestling for the weekend with a 4.8-second run in the first round. He placed first in the average with the fastest combined times in three rounds and walked away with two buckles, one as the average champion and a third-place win to qualify for Nationals.
The National High School Finals Rodeo is the largest rodeo in the world. It will be held July 17-23 at the Cam-Plex Event Center in Gillette. The National Finals Rodeo brings the top four athletes in all 16 NHSFA events from 44 states, five Canadian provinces, Australia, Mexico, and New Zealand in 16 NHSFR events competing for a World Championship Title.
