Join the celebration of H.O.P.E. Week with a Community Barbecue Block Party on Monday, Sept. 29, at 913 State Ave. in Alamosa. The barbecue dinner is from 5-7 p.m., live music included. There will also be yard games and a kids’ craft table put on by the Alamosa Public Library.

Hosted by La Puente, this event marks the start of H.O.P.E. Week with an evening of fun. Homeless Outreach, Prevention, and Education (H.O.P.E.) Week is a series of events meant to bring the community together to learn about homelessness and poverty in the San Luis Valley.
