The Regiment Poetry Reading

The Fort Garland Museum & Cultural Center, in collaboration with Brooklyn Poetry Slam and Adams State University will host The Regiment public poetry reading at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, in the Xperimental Theatre, located in the Adams State Theatre Building.
The event will features a renowned collection of poets including:
  • Curators: Mahogany L. Browne, a Kennedy Center’s Next 50 fellow, is a writer, playwright, organizer, & educator; and Jive Poetic, a writer, organizer, and educator based in Brooklyn, New York.
  • Facilitators: Terrance Hayes, Suzi Q. Smith, Camonghne Felix, and Deesha Philyaw
  • Fellows: Omar Holmon and Gabriel Ramirez

This project is part of The Regiment Writing Retreat in the San Luis Valley hosted by Brooklyn Poetry Slam and Fort Garland Museum & Cultural Center.
