Town of Saguache and HEART Tree Lighting and light contest
The Town of Saguache would like to invite you to attend the annual tree lighting ceremony on:
Tree lighting Ceremony – 4th and San Juan Avenue at 5 p.m.
Open House: Saguache Community Building immediately following the tree lighting:
- Food – Potato Soup and chili beans, corn bread, grilled cheese hot chocolate, coffee and water.
- Ornament Decoration station and other crafts offered by HEART and music
Visit with SANTA!!!!!
Decoration Contest:
The Town will host a house and yard decoration contest that will be judged on
December 17, 2025 at 6:30pm (So please have your lights on). Contest winners will win the following prizes and will be able to choose the local non- profit organization of their choosing to make a matching donation:
1st place – $200
2nd Place – $125
3rd Place – $75
Non matching donation prizes: Matching prize to local non-profit of winners choosing
People’s choice – $50 online only. Pictures will be taken by town staff of registered entries and will be posted on the Town of Saguache Facebook page and Sagtowners Facebook page (please vote only on Sagtowners Facebook page).
Ugly Sweater contest Adult and youth division $50 – Decided by light contest judges by online submission.
Rules – must register your home at town hall by email or by calling town hall – deputyclerk@townofsaguache.org or at 719-655-2232 or in person and must specify who your partner non-profit will be.
