This time Adam Frisch is hoping to get into the winner’s circle after falling just short two years ago. Frisch is campaigning to win Colorado’s U.S. Congressional 3rd District seat in 2024 and came onto The Valley Pod this week as part of his push in the final days of the campaign.

“I’ve been very, very clear that the same conversation of answers I give in Meeker, Colorado, – which is probably pretty darn red – is the same response I give to people in Telluride, in Durango, which is pretty Democratic,” Frisch said in championing himself as a Democrat who is “burdened with facts and I only have one view of what I said.”

On The Valley Pod he discussed local issues like the current push for a National Conservation Area designation for the Rio Grande corridor through Conejos County and an effort underway that proposed a new national monument on Colorado’s western slope.

He also fielded questions on national issues, including his support for term limits for federal office holders and the U.S. Supreme Court.

“We don’t take any corporate PAC money and we’ve signed a term limit pledge and we want to ban stock trading,” he said of his proposed package of ethics reforms.

This is Frisch’s second run for the 3rd congressional district seat. The district encompasses parts of Pueblo, all of the San Luis Valley, and the western slope of Colorado.

He fell short by 554 votes in a loss to then-incumbent Congresswoman Lauren Boebert in 2022. Boebert chose not to seek re-election in the 3rd congressional district in 2024, and instead Frisch is competing for votes against Republican Jeff Hurd.

Following The Valley Pod episode, Frisch launched a final 27-county tour across the entirety of CD3 to rally voters in the final week of the 2024 election.

“Winning elections is about showing up and letting people know you care about them and their communities, which is what I have been doing this entire campaign,” Frisch said. “I’ve traveled more than 74,000 miles meeting with voters, listening to their stories and talking to them about what they need. Our campaign is about standing up for the families, small business owners, farmers and ranchers, and people from every walk of life who make CD3 so amazing. In Congress I will fight every day to make sure these hardworking men and women don’t get left behind.”

On the tour, Frisch will visit the following communities: Alamosa, Arboles, Aspen, Bayfield, Carbondale, Center, Cortez, Craig, Creede, Crested Butte, DeBeque, Del Norte, Delta, Dove Creek, Durango, Fort Garland, Fruita, Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, Gunnison, Ignacio, La Jara, Lake City, Manassa, Mancos, Manzanola, Meeker, Monte Vista, Montrose, Norwood, Pagosa Springs, Palisade, Parachute, Pueblo, Ridgway, Rifle, Trinidad, and Walsenburg.
