Humane Colorado is hosting a free spay and neuter clinic March 20, 21 and 22. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. or until spots are full. Service is first-come, first-served. No pet limit per vehicle.
The clinic is for dogs and cats of the San Luis Valley only. No New Mexico residents.
Wait time to drop off could take several hours; plan to be in your vehicle with pets while waiting. Early arrival recommended to secure a spot.
Pets must be at least two pounds and two months old. No maximum weight. Cats must be secured in a carrier with a usable door. One cat per carrier.
Only with surgery are free vaccines and microchips included. Bring vet records if previously vaccinated. Pets will be ready for pickup later the same day.
Please note: All cats in traps will be ear tipped to indicate spayed/neutered status – no exceptions.
Humane Colorado is located at 701 Airport Road in Alamosa.
